I've seen similar trays in a few other places, and I've been wanting to make it for a little while. So, I decided that it was time to get around to making it, and uploading a post.

To start off, I picked up two frames from the Dollar Tree that were the same size. Taking one of them, I removed the glass and hardware from the back. Then, I glued in on top of the frame in original condition using craft glue.

Now you have the basis for your tray. I found two matching handles for it, and spray painted them gold. You could use any colour you want, but I liked the gold and decided that it looked really good with the matte black of the frames. Or, you could leave the handles the way they are. Mine were an oil-rubbed bronze, and they did not match my frame, or fit my aesthetic. When they were finished drying, I glued them on using the same craft glue. (This can take a while to dry! I did each step of my project between breaks)

To finish the frame, I just put a cute cut-out on some craft paper and put it in the bottom frame like a picture. You could use whatever you'd like here. Contact paper would be super cute, and fairly easy. The picture inside could be changed seasonally as well.
