After making the Organizer Tray in my last post, I decided that it would be lots of fun to make an entire room decor series. Specifically, coordinating room decor!

So my next project in the series is a jewelry plate. I picked up a small, clear glass plate from the Dollar Tree. I think they're meant for candles, because they are usually in the candle section, but they could be used for so much!

So, in contemplating how to make this clear plate much much cuter, I realized that scrapbooking paper and Mod Podge was a great idea. However, getting the paper to fit the inside of the ring around the plate. So when I glued my paper onto the plate, I had gaps.

My solution to this was to put a border around it. Doing this also visually grounded the patterned paper.

For the border, I covered the very outside in hot glue, and dumped glitter on top of it. Once it was cooled, I Mod Podged the top of it and let it dry. Unfortunately, I've lost all of my final pictures! However, I believe it will be in the pictures for a post later in the series.
