Three Ways to Look Put-Together, Even on a Busy Day

The easiest way to make an outfit go from good to stunning is by adding a few finishing touches. This can be upgrading your shoes or adding a statement necklace. However, there are a few rules.

Your Purse Should Match Your Shoes. This is more of a guideline than a rule, but it should definitely should be treated as such. This will make you seem like you know what you're doing. It's a subtle way to look more put-together and people won't even realize it! If your outfits are on the more intricate side, a nice neutral will keep your look balanced and classy. But, if you tend to keep your outfit a little more basic, your purse and shes could totally add a pop of colour! A totally black and white outfit with pink or red shoes and bag would look super chic.

Less Really is More: “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take at least one thing off.” A lot of times, I think we get carried away with looking our best. We find those earring that match the charm bracelet that matches this staple necklace. It's just too much. Personally, I wear a super dainty pearl necklace all the time, so I always work around that. Sometimes, I'll add a cute pair of earrings. I can afford to go a little bigger with those because the necklace is so small. Typically, I just add a watch or a simple bracelet. This really pulls my look together because they complement each other well. I absolutely detest, though, a ring and a bracelet. I suppose if one is subtle enough, it could work. I just can't stand it. Small details are really the most important ones.

Always Add a Third Piece: I followed this rule long before I knew it was a rule. In Junior High (and even some of high school) I wore a leather jacket. It was pretty much everyday. Eventually I came to wear mostly cardigans, with the occasional blazer or leather jacket. I've always got a third piece. It honestly ties an outfit together and makes you look more sophisticated. You can find the rule of three in literature in photography as well. Three is just a powerful number.
